Two weeks shy of the famous Oktoberfest in the summer of 2024, Emmanuel and his wife Berna of Dongo Paco Foundation (DPFL) had the opportunity to visit the home village of HAU, the sponsor of DPFL, in Bernried, Bavaria-Germany. The stay was filled with several impressions of Munich city and its surroundings.

DPFL, with its headquarters at the foot of Adoma Hill in Adilang at an elevation of 1122 meters, was interested in experiencing the Wank Mountain in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at an elevation of 1780 meters. The Wank Mt with very developed pathways, unlike the Adoma hills, inspired us on what could be improved on the Adoma hills to make hiking enjoyable and safe.

The highlight of the stay was the dinner with about 40 members of Helfen am Ursprung at Hotel Seeblick in Bernried. Emmanuel and Albert from both organizations explained their achievements so far and the next steps toward sustainability. The guest of honor, the mayor of Bernried, Mr. George Malterer, shared his vivid experiences in Adilang and expressed their commitment to embracing the future together with DPFL.
