Dongo Paco Foundation is a Ugandan NGO working to empower communities and promote sustainable development. Our name reflects our mission: “Dongo” translates to “development,” and “Paco” translates to “home” or “community.” In essence, we strive to be at the heart of progress, “Helping at the Origin.”
Education is central to building self-reliant communities. From early learning at Dongo Paco Kindergarten in Lamwo to skills training at Adilang Vocational Institute, we support learning that meets real needs and creates lasting opportunities
We work alongside farmers to promote sustainable agriculture that feeds families and builds resilience. By offering practical training and resources, we help communities improve their harvests, care for their land, and grow their income.
We believe that good health and proper nutrition are the foundation of a thriving community. Through our efforts, we support access to basic healthcare, promote healthy living, and raise awareness about nutrition.
We work to ensure that every community has access to clean water and safe sanitation. Alongside this, we promote practices that protect the environment and support healthier living spaces.
We celebrate the richness of Ugandan culture and work to preserve the traditions that shape our identity. By supporting cultural expression and promoting sustainable local tourism, we create spaces where heritage is honored.
At Dongo Paco Foundation, we strive to mobilize and empower communities to drive impactful change in key areas such as agriculture, environmental protection, water and sanitation, culture, tourism, heritage, entrepreneurship, and technology.
Our vision is to create thriving, resilient communities where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We envision a future where sustainable development is the norm, and every community member is empowered to lead a dignified and fulfilling life.
"Before the project came, many of us didn’t believe change could reach here. But now, even my children are drinking clean water, and that alone gives me peace. May God bless you for remembering us."

:We’ve worked with many organizations before, but Dongo Paco truly listens. They came, they asked, and they walked with us. That partnership is what makes the difference"
